Description: First Edition (first printing) of the author's first book. 8vo. 188pp. Yellow cloth lettered in blue at the spine. Top edge very lightly soiled and printed on very slightly substandard post-wartime economy paperstock. A very good copy in the striking double-spread pictorial dust wrapper designed by James Holland, price-clipped and chipped with just a little loss at the spine ends and several corner tips, and with a small area of chafing to one natural fold. Small 'Book Society Recommendation' inkstamp to the base of the front flap.
