Description: No date [1912], unpaginated. This is No. II of Cecil Aldin's Happy Family series. Beige paper cover on boards, black lettering, colour picture of cat pasted on front cover. The cover is only lightly worn. There is a tiny bookseller label at top of front pastedown. Illustrated endpapers show the six members of the happy family. Prev. owner's name written neatly at top of half title page. There is foxing, mainly to the beginning & ending pages but also light foxing on text pages. Illustrated by Cecil Aldin with 5 full page & 1 double page chromoliths, as well as b/w sketches. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall

Description: Presumed First, no date, circa 1912. No I in the Happy Family series which was published in 6 parts and also in a collected edition. Original paper-backed boards, illustrated endpapers, 6 coloured plates (one double-leaf), line drawings. A very nice clean copy, no spotting or dampstaining, e.g., Previous owner name-stamp at half-title. Cracked at front hinge, corners and spine ends bumped but not split, some creasing to corners of the covers. A very clean copy.
