Contemporary ownership signature and date to the title-page, covers show some rubbing, wear and mild soiling, else about very good. Eric Ambler was the recipient of four Gold Dagger Awards and one Silver. In 1975, he was named Grand Master by the Mystery Writers of America. CAUSE FOR ALARM is an early thriller by the influential British author of spy novels who introduced a new realism to the genre. Scarce in the UK first edition.
