Book has no creased page corners, no former ownership markings or used bookstore stamps inside, no foxing to pages or endpapers, orange top stain is nice without drop spots or fading, slight dust soiling/age darkening to outer page edges (no foxing), clean endpapers with no soiling or staining, no splitting to internal hinges (common defect with these early "thick" Dodd Mead books), no spine lean, no wear to board edges or to board corners, hint of wear to spine tips, slight spine sun darkening (common defect with this book), no rubbing to spine lettering, almost no handling/dust soiling to boards, faint partial ring mark otherwise almost no soiling or discoloration to boards, no bumped board corners. Book also comes with a color facsimile of the scarce Dodd Mead DJ to provide protection from damage and to improve its appearance on a shelf.
