This being number 998. Edition done for Maugham's 80th birthday with famous lithograph by Sutherland. He lived until 92. Some wear and spotting to delicate leather but still nice. Slipcase a bit edge-worn. This was the author's favourite book.

The white leather is very gently rubbed in one small spot near the foot of the spine, otherwise this book is a fine copy, remarkably clean and in excellent condition, with the original glassine wrapper.
