Description: 184pp. Quarto [26 cm] 1/4 black cloth with glossy illustrated paper over boards. With the hourglass on the last page. Very good. The front board is just a tiny bit warped, and the corners of the covers are ever so slightly rubbed. The price-clipped dust jacket is in good only condition with a large open tear in the top edge of the rear panel that measures 1 inch wide by 1 and 1/4 inches deep. The edges have numerous short and long closed tears as well. The longest closed tear measures 3 inches long. There are 4 pieces of tape backing the tears along the top edge. Photography by Ernst Haas. A journey in book form through southern Arizona and northern Mexico, guided by former park ranger and desert rat, Edward Abbey.
