Chinese text with Italian translations by Pound and Alberto Luchini. Text pages without watermark. Some light toning to the poor quality paper; otherwise, in nice, near fine condition. A nicely preserved copy. First edition of this translation into Italian of *The Great Digest* of Confucius. Chinese text appears on each page, with the Italian version below. The present work precedes Pound's English version in *The Unwobbling Pivot & The Great Digest by five years. Bibliographer Donald Gallup described it in the "B" Section only because it fits his formula of a "translation. published with original text." Another bibliographer might well have assigned it to the "A" Section. *Gallup* B46, the first issue on unwatermarked paper.
