Description: Octavo, 3 volumes. Garnett translation. A fine, crisp, lovely set--unopened--in the publisher's patterned boards with tan cloth spines and black spine labels. Touch of finger-soiling to the bottom of the spines. In the publisher's matching-numbered slipcase, with mild rubbing to extremities; very good or better. All elements in much nicer condition than usually found. This is number 657 of 1500 limited copies SIGNED by illustrator Alexander King, who supplied eighteen striking portraits of various characters in the novel. This early LEC volume was printed by D. B. Updike at the Merrymount Press in Boston. A choice example.
