I cannot say for sure, but the pastedowns and front free endpapers are very clean, but if these are new, then they are not only in keeping, but they have been very expertly included. The book has been professionally rebound with original brown cloth mounted onto new boards with linen spine, with loss of lower 2.5cm of original spine cloth. Some bumping and wear. Some foxing to endpapers and damp staining to first few leaves preceding main title page. Text pages are very clean and bright with very occasional flaw. Some foxing to the Electrogravure plates. Occasional small nick or minor damage to edge of a page/plate. Some creasing to plate facing p. 204 (not on main image). Gilt top edge of text block. Soundly bound. With beautifully detailed images throughout. An impressive volume. Text in English. xviii + 224pp + Guarded 'Electro-Etching' Plates. Weight: approximately 3.8kg (unpacked weight).
