A collection of 'authentic Howlers taken from classrooms and examination papers,' many of its lines are still sent around as internet memes today: 'Solomon had 300 wives and 700 porcupines.' 'In Christianity a man can have only one wife. This is called Monotony.' Dr. Seuss contributed 22 drawings, scattered throughout the book's 102 pages. The book became a massive hit, sparking multiple sequels and becoming one of the best selling books through World War II. Our copy is in Very Good condition. The dust jacket is missing, but cover is Very Good, with slight rounding and scuffing at corners. The sewn binding remains tight and square. Pages unmarked, though lightly tanned from age.
