Description: Surfaces, corners and edges of boards rubbed and worn with some light spotting to the cloth - front endpaper removed and front hinge is beginning to split,but is still holding - some red splotches to upper edge of front paste-down and title page - name inscription to title page - all 17 plates present, but it does appear a blank page(?) page has been removed before the contents page.

Illustrated by Charles Robinson with tipped-in plates, 17 inserted and two small chapter headings. First edition of this illustrated version. A near fine copy in gray cloth-covered boards, decorated in gilt (there seem to be a number of different colors of cloth bindings used on this edition).

Description: Hardcover. Gray cloth with gold stamping on front cover and spine. Boards faded and worn, with much of the gilt having lost its sheen. Some of the lettering at the head of the spine has been worn away completely. Corners bumped and worn, with cloth fraying at either end of the spine. Title page dated 1912. E. P. Dutton & Co. in New York is also listed as a publisher, beneath Dent & Sons. 127 pages. Front and rear gutters cracked. All illustrations present, one missing a tissue guard. Binding of text secure. Overall binding is in quite good condition, but there is some evidence of wear at the hinges; corners are bumped; and there is a bit of normal fraying at the crown of the spine. Text block tight and clean. Decorative endpapers. Bookplate on the inside front cover, "Ex Libris BOSWORTH." 127 pages plus 17 color plates, tipped in and with tissue guards.
