Lithographed in the USA by Kellogg & Bulkeley. The dust jacket illustration includes one candle "to grow on." The birthday cake is painted with eleven candles even though there are ten on the title page, and the opening paragraph states, "I am ten years old!" Enjoy this portrayal of a ten-year old girl's birthday which takes place a generation ago on an old fashioned farm in New Hampshire. Size: 8.25" x 10.25" First printing.
