Description: A sturdy, attractive, tightly bound hardcover copy of a Heritage Press title, being a First Edition Thus. Clean, bright, unmarked interior, minimal rubbing to extremities, having been preserved well in a Good condition, paper-covered cardboard slipcase. Decorated paper over boards, brown cloth-backed, with sharp and distinct gilt lettering to spine. From a collection of three dozen Heritage Press titles that belonged to an Eastern Washington professional botanist. Complete with the Sandglass newsletter. The Heritage Press operated from 1937 - 1982 and was created by George Macy, who managed with editors the reprinting of volumes from the Limited Editions Club, thus enabling fine printing exemplars to trickle down to a broader public still thirsty, newly thirsty, for classic nineteenth-century novels and biographies. This much-loved Anthony Trollope was introduced by Angela Thirkell, and with fine, multiple illustrations by Fritz Kredel. xv [3], 3-563 [1] pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
