Description: (John Lane, The Bodley Head 1944). First UK Edition. Illustrated Card Boards in D/W. 32 pages (un-paginated). Illustrated in colour by Cam throughout. 9 1/2 x 7 1/4. (Spotting to the end-papers and neat birthday gift inscription to the front paste-down. A very nice copy in slightly worn VG D/W with a V-shaped closed tear to the back panel. Cam's 1st Book. Tells the story of a lamb who could sing, who had great success at the theatre in London?until she caught a cold - and her singing career came to an end. A war-time production which does not seem to last the test of time particularly well in our experience. Quite an attractive copy.
