Description: Volume 2 only of a three volume set that was never reprinted in this form. Bound in orange/brown cloth with black decorations. The covers are discolored, spine ends a little frayed, front hinge is cracked. So an iffy binding although it's still strong and functional. The text is very good.

Description: First edition of a difficult title to find in acceptable condition. Sadleir notes that "the serial rights of this story were sold to the National Press Agency on November 9, 1880" but that he had been "unable to discover what used was made of these rights". Sadleir, Trollope 60. 3 volumes, octavo. Original orange silk-grain cloth, titles in gilt to spines, Boards and spines with decorations blocked in black, black endpapers. Housed in custom red cloth slipcase. Slight wear to extremities, spines a touch darkened, hinges broken but holding, vol. 1 a little shaken, free endpaper of vol. 2 detached; a good set.
