Colour sketch map of Australia and New Zealand opposite title page volume I. Weakness at junction of front board and spine to volume I. Volume I (534pp with index) includes chapters on Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria. Volume II (516pp with index) includes chapters on Tasmania, Western Australia, South Australia, Australian Institutions and New Zealand. Trollope travelled extensively through Australia and New Zealand in 1871.
