Description: Smaller octavo. Red cloth covered boards and spine with black lettering on the spine and the front board. Book has a fair amount of bumping at the head and tail of the spine with heavy accompanying rubbing at the head and tail of the spine and at the tips of the outsdie corners. Cloth of the front and rear boards has facial rubbing along the spine and, on the front, along the outside edge. Light cream colored endpapers. Binding has a slight forward lean, but is tight - top inch of the rear hinge is starting but the rest is solid. Cream colored pages have a few spots on the outside edge of the textblock but are clean and crisp within. 375 pages. Dust Jacket - A previous owner has married a 1948 Burroughs dust jacket to this book. Large rectangular piece of the tail of the spine is missing - bottom two inches at the rear edge and 3" at the front edge. 1/4" chips all along the head of the spine and in the tip of each of the four outside corners. Jacket has some light rubbing all along the upper and lower edges with a few tiny chips and wrinkles. Light evidence of handling, mostly visible on the white spine and rear cover.
