Condition: Very Good

Description: Limited edition of 250 copies, this one is numbered 220. An authors note states ' a small edition of this little volume was privately printed two years ago, and speedily exhausted among the authors friends. The demand for it since has been so persistent that he has consented to its publication in the present form. A few poems written since it's previous issue are inserted in this new edition'. Full vellum covers with gilt lettering on the front and spine. Some darkening/soiling can be seen in the photos. Also a crease at the top right corner and at the spine ends. The pages of the book are in truly excellent condition. They're very clean, the tissue guards are present in front of the illustrations. And the book is very solidly bound. It is inscribed on the FFEP by Lotte B. to a Elizabeth Ogden Wood who Google says was born Elizabeth Ogden Brower in New York City in 1873. Her father, John Lefoy Brower, was a member of the family which had lived in New York for over 300 years. The first of the line was Pieter Clementsen Brower, who was born at Hoorn, The Netherlands, in 1580. John Lefoy Brower is said to have been responsible for many improvements in New York. In particular, it is stated that it was through his efforts that the city developed its traffic system, that the present system of street signs was the result of his work. So there's a little provenance to this particular copy of At Sundown.
