Exterior is rich and clean with modest rubbing near the edges, but minimal edge wear. TEG. Other edges deckled. Blue/gray EPs. Pink silk ribbon bookmark. Inside is unmarked, clear, and firmly bound with minimal toning. Very nice.

Description: Half gilt-ruled teal morocco and marbled paper over boards, gilt-stamped lettering on spine; 4to; pp. [8], 122, [1] (colophon). Number 8 from a limited edition of 100 copies on Imperial Japan Vellum, printed and illumined by hand, and signed by Elbert Hubbard (publisher) and Emma Johnson (illuminator) on the limitation page. Additionally inscribed by Elbert Hubbard and Elbert Hubbard II on the front flyleaf, in February 1904. Boards a little scuffed and bumped along the edges; spine a little sunned, and lightly scuffed at tips; a few small water-spots on front board. Text block is bright and clean. Bookplates of Helen Rippey and Arthur Rippey (Denver) on front paste-down. An excellent copy of this lavish production.
