Price: US$50.00 + shipping

Condition: Near Fine

Description: New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1925. Sinclair Lewis This is a Near Fine copy of the photoplay edition. Although a reprint, it used the same plates as the First Edition, which was not an uncommon practice in the era. Dark blue cloth binding with bright orange textblock and lettering. Clean text; 448 pages, with eight pages of publisher's adverts in the rear. There is a tiny bit of bumping and a previous-owner bookplate on the front paste-down, else a Fine copy. The dustjacket is impressive - with a pensive Ronald Coleman and Helen Hayes inside a lab retort on the cover (this jacket, however, has the book blurb on the cover, rather than the ad for the movie). Very Good Minus condition, with chipping along the edges and a floodmark across the spine; it is in fragile condition, with splits at the flaps, now protected by an archival cover. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Reprint. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good.
