Jacket sadly a bit tatty, with edge wear, creasing, small loss and rubbing to jacket and spine, corners and folds rubbed with small loss, some overall time staining, price clipped, previous owner's (religious author Teresa de Bertodano) inscription to ffep, slight lean, slight page fore edge foxing. Internally tight and clean, overall a vg+ copy for its age. 311pp. The Antigua, Penny, Puce is the rarest and most beautiful stamp in the world. That was how the auctioneer announced it, and from that moment the feud began in earnest, for as children they had agreed to share Oliver's schoolboy stamp collection, and Jane now wanted her rightful share. One of Robert Graves' most popular and satirical novels, now very scarce in this first edition.
