Glossy white pictorial dust jacket with gray lettering on cover and spine. Jacket is not price clipped. Some scratching and scuffing; minor shelf wear and creasing to edges; mild soiling. Tight binding and clean interior. Includes reproductions of nearly 300 works, with 132 in color, as well as historic photos. Numerous items are laid in: a magazine about the All-Indian Pow Wow held in Flagstaff, Arizona in 1960, which is also signed by Houser; an invitation to a book-signing party; a brochure about a sale of Houser's sculptures that was held following his death; and two newspaper clippings. This is the first major book on the life and work of Allan Houser (1914-1994), a Chiricahua Apache sculptor who was one of the most renowned Native American artists of the 20th century.
