Illustrated endpapers in gold of Puss in Boots holding a rabbit with affirming king looking on. Includes an introduction by Arthur Rackham and illustrations. Eight color plates and fifty black & white illustrations throughout. Bind fine; hinges intact. Rare dust wrapper, fine; clipped, protected in new clear sleeve. Yellow wrapper front panel features Rackham color plate from Blue Beard by Perrault: "She took then the little key, and opened the door, trembling". A beautifully preserved bright volume in near fine original wrapper.
