Description: First and only edition of this beautiful miniature book. Travel writing on China, signed by both Graham Greene and Stephen Spender who wrote the afterword. Limited to 330 copies, 300 numbered, 26 lettered and 4 bearing the name of a recipient. Rumour has it that because of material issues only about half of the total print run was ultimately bound for sale. Printed letterpress by Patrick Reagh on Arches paper. Book is handbound in Japanese side stitch style with bone pearl charm in emerald green silk boards, housed in Hako Chitsu inspired box with gold leaf and bone hook enclosure. Numbered 175 out of 300 numbered copies. 47 numbered pages, quarto, green silk boards approx. 3"x3" with gold leaf paste downs and end papers. Satisfaction guaranteed.
