Description: Large oblong 4to, 36pp., double-column text, 25 plates, each with a reproduction of 2 MS pages, title printed in red and black, free endpapers browned, occasional foxing, orig. green roan-backed printed boards lightly stained. The text considers the MS in relation to the companion psalter of St. Louis in the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris. Cockerell (1867-1962), secretary to the Kelmsott Press 1891-6, director of the Fitzwilliam Museum, 1908-37, partner with Sir Emery Walker in process engraving business.

Description: Described by S.C. Cockerell in relation to the Companion Psalter of St Louis in Paris, with photogravures of all the miniatures by Emery Walker. Avec un ENVOI autographe de Henry Yates Thompson sur la page de garde, au Comte Alexandre de Laborde. Cartonnage bleu avec petite tache en haut du 1er plat, dos lisse en cuir vert avec titres dorés, plats avec très légères traces d'usage. Pages de gardes brunies. Page de titre avec lettres rouges et noires, 36p, texte sur 2 colonnes, 25 planches in fine, chacune représentant 2 manuscrits. Sydney Carlisle Cockerell (1867-1962), secrétaire de la Kelmsott Press, était directeur du Fitzwilliam Museum de 1908 à 1937, a travaillé avec Emery Walker. Henry Yates Thompson (1828-1938) était un propriétaire anglais de journaux et un grand collectionneur de manuscrits enluminés. Il fut un grand donateur au Fitzwilliam Museum et au British Museum. Alexandre-Léon-Joseph, Comte de Laborde (1853-1944), était un officier, archéologue et bibliophile français.
