Description: Good to Very Good. Oversize. One of 2,000 copies. Folio. Publisher's quarter cloth and boards. Printed 21 pp. stapled spine booklet and loose tipped-in b/w plates as issued. Booklet is Fine. The inner pocket of the portfolio that holds the plates snugly in place is detached. The cloth spine has a few loose threads. There is a small dent in the upper left corner of the front cover, and a couple superficial tears along the interior hinge.

Alvin Langdon Coburn (1882-1966) was an American photographer who pioneered vortographs, an abstract work produced using mirrors in a vortoscope, rather than a kaleidoscope.
