Description: The July 1932 issue of The American Magazine. Contains You Can't Put Out the Sun, an article by poet Archibald Rutledge, A Man Called Spade, a short story by Dashiell Hammett, The Knight's Errand, a short story by Octavus Roy Cohen, and others, Numerous vintage ads. Condition issues include soiling to the covers and spine, a .375" closed tear at the bottom left fore edge of the rear cover that diminishes & fades out by page 121, (2.75"), 1" loss at the top of the spine, and a 1" closed tear at the right spine hinge that starts at the end of the loss. Missing pages 67/68 (Campbell Soup & Chevrolet Automobiles ads). No stories or articles seem to be affected. A good to very good copy of a vintage magazine with a short story by a prominent and collectible author.
