Some staining to bottom edge of pages but is not greatly evident on pages. 175 pp. Better than "good" when you consider its age.

No. 315 of 500 limited edition copies printed on English handmade paper, in the publisher's original cloth binding with pictorial gilt to the front board. Top edge gilt. Bookplate to the front paste down. Henry Fielding (1707-1754) was an English writer and magistrate, best known for his satirical and humorous works such as his 1749 novel The History of Tom Jones. He is considered one of the founders of the traditional English novel. The Golden Cockerel Press has used the 1743 text for this edition of his novel A Journey from this World to the Next. It has been illustrated by Denis Tegetmeier with six etchings on copper. Collated, complete. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally smart, though spine is darkened, with a small loss to the spine label, not affecting the lettering. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean except for very light offsetting to the end papers. Very Good Indeed
