Description: 102 pages.Price on back flap of D/J $2.50.Small chip top dust jaket's spine. Red linen cloth covered boards. Frost's poems show deep appreciation of natural world and sensibility about the human aspirations. His images - woods, stars, houses, brooks - are usually taken from everyday life. With his down-to-earth approach to his subjects, readers found it is easy to follow the poet into deeper truths, without being burdened with pedantry. Often Frost used the rhythms and vocabulary of ordinary speech or even the looser free verse of dialogue. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" Tall

Frost's friendship with Smith spanned decades; Frost would stay with Smith when he was in the area and Frost would reciprocate, hosting Smith and his family. Here Frost writes out the last two stanzas of his poem, which differs slightly from the printed version: "play-for-mortal-stakes" is hyphenated and "Future's" in the last line is capitalized. *A Further Range* was the third of Frost's books to receive the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry.
