Printed letterpress, handset type, in red and black. Brown and white decorated boards, reddish-brown cloth spine, printed paper spine label. A very fine copy. This lovely printing production tells the story of this prominent and wealthy old San Francisco family, detailing the history of the family and the rise of the Haas companies and their many construction accomplishments. The 12 leaves of photographs consists of 40 photographs showing Haas and Thompson family portraits, early construction projects of Edward F. Haas and Associates, and examples of construction projects of other E. T. Haas construction companies. The construction projects read like a what's what of Bay Area buildings and other projects including dredging at Hunter's Point, the U.S. Navy Graduate School in Monterey, St. Mary's Square Garage, Telephone Company Office Building in San Mateo, Hillsdale Shopping Center, the Crown Zellerbach Building, the Civic Center Garage, and many others.
