A very good example of the book with spotting to the cloth and light wear to the tips and spine ends. Dust jacket very good with wear to the spine ends and tips. Jacket's spine darkened and with some chipping to the label affixed to the jacket's spine.

Description: 1st ptg., 4to, full blue cloth, gilt spine titling and blind-stamped rule bordering front board. Illustrated with 12 full color plates printed on the same laid cream cloth as the text, which works well to give the illustrations a softer, warmer feeling that if they were done on glossy paper. 1/2" circular beverage stain (?) to front board, small scuffed mark of label removal to top of ffep, slight water stain at very top of fore-edge. Tips and spine edge wear very lightly touched up in blue by former owner. Still a near fine, bright copy. No previous ownership marks.
