Description: SIGNED, LIMITED NUMBERED EDITION WITH SLIPCASE. Facsimile of the original manuscript. 164/350. This is an absolutely enchanting copy. Buff boards are dotted with silver flecks and a paint-like strokes in white. The title is in a lovely gilt font. Spine is stamped with gilt lettering. All edges deckled. Signed by the editor/son of Lafcadio Hearn, Kazuo Koizumi [Hearn] at the back on the certificate page. Printed on handmade, watermarked, Japanese vellum. Title page is red and black. The text is printed again in English type font at the back for easy reading. Unpaginated. Published in 1950. BAL 8050. CONDITION: The book itself is near fine. The back inner hinge has cracked, yet boards are still firmly affixed. Some discoloration within the endpapers, but the pages are completely unmarked and have delightfully and evenly toned. The slipcase is VG, showing some wear and tearing at the head, yet is still intact. A phenomenal copy. Full refund if not satisfied.

Tan decorative boards with gilt front cover and spine. A little light foxing to extremities of binding, Japanese bookseller's label on front pastedown, light offsetting to fly-leaves. A very good plus copy in publisher's (?) acetate dust jacket. In lightly foxed slipcase with a couple of light stains. First edition. One of 350 copies. BAL 8050.
