Description: First Edition (first printing). 8vo. 72pp. Black cloth letter in gold at the spine and upper board. The spine lettering just fractionally dulled. Former owner name and date (that of the late actor Robert Demeger) neatly inked to the head of the front free endpaper. A virtually fine copy in very good non-price-clipped dust wrapper, lightly toned at the spine panel and with several tiny millimetres of loss to the spine panel ends. Forty-five poems, a generous selection of his early verse including a number from his debut collection 'Bright November' (1947), much of his second collection 'A Frame of Mind' (1953), all six poems from his 1954 Fantasy Press collection, and many others hitherto unprinted in bookform.
