Crichton, Michael writing as Jeffrey Hudson. A Case of Need. World Publishing, NAL , NY, 1968.

Price: US$100.00 + shipping

Condition: Fair

Description: 243 pgs. The book club copy of Crichton's rare first book, and it comes with a nice dust jacket. Plus the defects -- Lending library stamps, writing, pocket remains, and a 4" missing piece from rear free endpaper. A few pages also have small brown marginal stains, of unknown substance (but apropos to a mystery book); also a prior owner stamp. But the endpaper flaps are not glued down, and jacket and cloth condition are really very good. Probably the only way to get hold of this early title !
