Condition: Near Fine

Description: Illustrated by Robinson Jeffers. Introduction by Dave Oliphant. First edition, limited to 500 copies. Begun by Una and Robinson at their home in 1922, prior to the Jeffers family visit to Ireland in 1929, this collection demonstrates not only Robinson's little-known talent for illustration, but also Una's love for all things Irish - her own Ward Ritchie Press work, "Visits to Ireland," was published in 1954. Clearly this work served as the inspiration for Robinson's book of verse, "Descent to the Dead: Poems Written in Ireland and Britain" (1931). Prospectus laid in. Designed by Ward Ritchie. Full cream linen binding, with a printed paper spine label. A fine copy in the original plain paper dust jacket.
