Titling in black on front board and backstrip.Very slight soiling on back cover and virtually as new internally.In protective Brodart sleeve. Bookplate laid in of Scofield Thayer. Scofield Thayer (1889 - 1982) was educated at Harvard and Oxford and was a friend of T. S. Eliot and Ezra Pound. The wealthy Thayer dabbled in poetry himself and commissioned a wedding poem from e.e.cummings when he married. Thayer also served as editor for "The Dial".
