Description: First edition, limited to 420 copies. Tall 8vo. 56pp. Two-tone decorated holland-backed cloth boards with a tanned and a little chipped paper spine label (and a spare tipped-in). Small bump to head of spine, and tips of corners a little chafed. A very good copy. No dust wrapper, as issued. Several pencilled bibliographical corrections and comments ("Rubbish") in the distinctive hand of Stephen Clarke and one other unidentified scholar (who, with but a single pencil mark, notes the absurdity of HW have supplied a "five word foreword" to 'Little Peter the Great', 1931 - his contribution was of course five pages).

His magnum opus is his fifteen-novel sequence 'A Chronicle of Ancient Sunlight'.This bibliography and study was published in the midst of his burgeoning career, only a few years after his Hawthornden winning novel 'Tarka the Otter'.Compiled by I. Waveney Girvan, with assistance of 'Another Hand'. It is a clear open secret that this 'Another Hand' is Williamson himself.Pencil note to the half-title claims 'Annotations by H.
